I run a UNI filter. You'd have to remove the support tab at the bottom of the airbox if you run it but, you can do it with a pair of pliers and a dremel tool or file.
Also, there are a ton of threads on air filters or filter choices. Have to tried to search the website?

I have a couple stock ones they work great and they are cheap. No need to buy a 50 dollar K&N that needs a filter for the filter.

Don't get a K&N if its dusty where you ride.
Get a UNI
i run uni, k and n ruins ur motor and is not even better than uni imo, i saw equal gains when i installed them in my fourwheeler.

Here we go again with the K&N/UNI filter dispute.
I'm a fan of the UNI filter because of cost is lower, ease of cleaning, and better dusty filtration.

I've ran both K&N and foam and can't tell a difference in power. Currently I have a Moose filter. Just get what ever floats your boat and take care of it.

vehicle filters and quad filters don't have to deal with near the same conditions.

I run K&N filters on my 3 Cars/SUV but, I run UNI filters on both my 400EX and Son's CRF120F.
I can clean 3 UNI filters in the time it takes to clean one K&N filter. Like I said before, price, ease of maintenance, and filtration makes a foam filter and easy pick over a K&N.

i run a 450r K&N filter with a K&N power lid and another K&N filter in place of the snorkel tube.
yes its expensive but it works good and havnt had engine problems in 3 years that ive been using it on my 400.
little tip from Sand Sports Magazine:
to check to see how good your filter is, put some white lithium grease inside the intake tube and it will show any dirt/dust that got past the filter(s)
