i had a friend weld up a crack in my ltr frame here, and there is a tiny hole in the frame now, he says its from where he stopped the weld, he didnt think it went all the way through but it does, and its about the diameter of a small sewing needle, is this anything i should worry about?

looking at that weld, you may have bigger problems then the hole.

its my friends dad, my 400ex frame tube completely broke nott o long ago, i took it to an actual person labeled as a welder, he totally screwed it up and this guy came in and went over the whole thing and the frame hasnt been cracking or anything since, just tell me if, that was a "good weld" if the hole would be of major concern

the hole itself is of no big concern, i see holes in almost every aftermarket arm and swing arm by every manufacture there is.

keep an eye on it, it will crack again

the first bead he laid down looked equivalent to the the welds on the stock frame, just then when he went to put a little bit more on it showed up like crap, and your saying it will crack again because of the weld?

and, he's been welding just our friends bikes for free for a few years now (scary huh?).... and they've all held up so i am not very concerned with the strength of the weld

There's absolutely no reason there should be a hole there. Any decent welder could have done without it. The hole is not really a concern just sloppy like the rest of the weld. If I were you I'd just keep an eye on it.

The temp setting might have been cold or poorly preped I bet money he didnt get good penatration. My sugestion if it cracks again grind it down look for pinholes and weld a piece steel over the whole area. By someone els.

That weld looks scary. Why would he "add more?" You're supposed to be joining the two areas together, not adding material to them . I wouldn't even worry about the pinhole right now.... like others have said, I would expect that to crack again. Something a lot of people overlook is that these materials do need to flex some... flexxing too much is just as bad as not being able to flex at all... it will crack.

You wouldnt need to add much but sence he did it the way he did the crack will most likely spread so adding some will spread the stress.

The weld was cold. Not the ugliest weld I have ever seen but sure not the prettiest either. Then again some of the ugliest welds I have ever made have been my strongest. I had one that I thought would surely break with ease. It was so ugly we just put it in the weld tester to watch it break for fun and to our amazement it did not break. Best of luck hope it doesn't break with you again.

Hey, did you shoot the chicken?

THE CHICKEN THAT **** ON YOUR FRAME....thats a horrible weld my friend....when it comes to welding, think of it this way....youre the one riding the bike that might someday come up short on that 90' double.....

Dude... its an LTR frame... surprised it cracked in the first place... I doubt you have anymore probs since you added some gussets too.
