These hubs are in great condition! The hubs will clean or polish out very nicely, I just sprayed some aluminum cleaner and wiped them off.

The bearings are in great shape but have mismatching bearings. Meaning...it has a 88-89 inner with a 86/87 outer. If you had a set at home, these would fit either year - just swap out one side.

$125 shipped in the 48 States... paypal is welcome!

Thanks,
Dan

Check out the pics...these are 88/89. Just need new bearings on the outside. Do you understand what I meant by the bearings on the outside? I am sure a bearing store could have them to you very cheap.

Thanks,
Dan

Lone star has 2 different part #'s for 88's or 89's. Are these for the tapered spindles(89, which will fit a 400ex) or the stepped spindles(88)? Let me know and thanks, I just got some durablues, but they have a rough finish and I was looking for something shiner.

Thanks for clarifying...these are the 88's because they get stuck on my 89 spindles but will fit on an 87 spindle but needs a sleeve almost to make work. Or you could just replace all bearings...

am I thinking correctly?

I think if you use the right 86 id bearing with the 89 od on the inside bearing they would work fine on a 86-87 spindle. The 86-87 spindles have a straight axle that is the same size as the smaller part of the newer axles(not the fat part of the taper or step). I bought the durablues, and came to find out they have a taper in the middle so they wouldn't fit my 88 spindles(ones with step). I tried to take the taper piece out of the middle, but it was machined in so I switched to 89 spindles. The lsr's may be different, or you could maybe drill out the middle, but I hate tearing up nice expensive parts. Good luck with the sale.

Here is a pic of the inside if you can see... :ermm:

They are tapered it looks like... The spindles that I have are getting coated.

thoughts?

Uh, it's kind of hard to tell from the picture. Did the po put the mismatched bearings in or is that more of a guess? If you put your finger in the middle and can feel the taper, they should be for 89 spindles. I was looking at the chapparal catalog, and lsr has a different part #'s for 86-87 R's, 88 R, 89 R, 400ex, and 450r's. I'm not sure what year your hubs are actually for, or what the difference is between the 89 R and 400ex hubs are because durablues have the same part # for both. I haven't really looked at a 450r spindle yet because I haven't parted any of them out. You may be able to find a part # on them somewhere and call lsr to make sure.

You wouldn't happen to have some billet lsr rear hubs for a 250r, would you? I just bought some durablue billet rear hubs, and they are also a rough finish.

Yes, it is tapered. So from what you are saying...they are 89's. I have 89 spindles at the coater and will wait to see how they fit.

Yes, I have LSR Rear Hubs, but I think I am keeping them. They will be coated since the billet hubs look like crap when dirty and raw (upolished) aluminum looks like crap.

At any rate, I think $125 shipped for these is a good deal, since they are close to $325 new.
