Getting back in the saddle again

Today was the 1st day in close to 3 LOOONGGGG months that we had done really much riding. Aside of a FT race ,Kelsey and Brandon have chilled most of the winter due to rebuilds and very cold miserable weather conditions.
We are only a few days away from taking off to Arizona to race the opening round of the WORCS series,so we spent a little time just getting re-aquainted with there quads again.
We met up with a few freinds for the day and had a cold, but good day of riding..... :)

We decided today would also be a good time to start in on our RPM axle article for the DRR mini quad.

Shes really excited to see all the new freinds she raced with last season.
Theres a good chance this will be her last year on a mini she most likely will move up to the Womens ranks in 2009..

Its also been awhile for our freind Jason who was injured on his 1st WORCs race in Washington this summer, so he too needed some seat time as he is off to Utah to race indoorMX next wk end.

After a quick warm up by the fire, Kelsey was off.
The area we was in today had very minimal jumps out in the desert.
Kelsey pumped out the 1st lap...!

hows that blaster with the 85 motor compare to a stock blasters power?

Ive always been curious, becuase i heard those 85 dirtbikes are making like 15hp stock.

Thanks Tina for taking those great shots. I had a blast today. As always it was great seeing you guys again. My whole body feels spent. It was fun trying to chase down Troy. He is fast for an old guy. LOL We will have to do it again after AZ. Tell the kids I said good luck.

The trails out here are endless and at some point, lead to a really cool ghost town called Silver City.There was an artile about it in the latest QUAD magazine I seen.If you have that issue, then you probably have seen the terrain we ride here.:) Its a great place to train ,but just too cold to ride for very long right now .

LOL! I wish the poor guy just had some endurance.. The kids keep him so busy he rarely makes time to ride anymore like he would like to.
I love to watch him ride.
hes got to go out more this year and see if he cant shake off some cobwebs and some arm pump :macho

Her 85 is alot faster than a stock Blaster.We have had both -no doubt about it...
But the 240 kits makes a big difference on the Blaster. The 240 kits are screamin fast !

The kids' quads looked and sounded good. Brandon's going to do well this year. Kelsey is going to kick *** once she gets down there and gets into race mode.

Get your shoulder healed up enough so you can go out and play as well.

I would have liked to ride yesterday, but Ive injured my shoulder and was afraid to make it worse.

We are all doing great. Have been working ALOT of hours trying to get some bills paid off before racing starts. I think my youngest boy is giving up racing. He is more into football and baseball now.

He never took racing seriously anyway. He has awesome skills on a bike for his age if he would have just put his head into it he would have been great but I can't make him do it. he is 10 years old and the only thing he talks about is getting a football scholarship to college :D

Really?? well thanks! I didnt think so, I had a tough time wth the weather,including the cold weather killing my flash batteries.:ermm: I think they have a some what fuzzy apprearance to them,but Im glad you liked them :)
Dust was a issue too .. I swear, even in the winter I just cant seem to get a break from DUST!:rolleyes:

Its still got alot of touch ups to do that we just simply ran out of time to work on,like the plastic after it was cut. Some of its not quite even and needs smoothed out on where we cut it, but nothing we cant work on when we get home .Troys trying to figure out the jetting since the weather and Elevation will be so much different here than AZ.I wish we had another month!:p

The kids werent the only one rusty...Once the sun was just right, I got busy and played ..

I still have my 250r but I don't think its going to stay around for very much longer. Im really kicking myself for selling my 450r...... o well Im going to get a new one but im not sure if I should buy NEW or get a used one.

I have been laying low in the riding department but I got the girl a quad for Christmas so I need to get a new so I can ride with her :D

Theres a long story behind it, but his heart will always be on a quad.
The bike will work alot better for all the travel we are doing. A big trailer is not in our finances unfortunately right now and getting Kelsey a new quad soon is partially the other reason.

Yep not having the finances SUCKS! That is why I don't have one at this time!
