I just have one more general question about the 416cc power..

Its ok if you don't have this particular setup as long as you have a 416ex with at least a cam and slip-on with, it counts

what would a 416cc bore with a 04'-05' 450r carb, port job and a stage 1 Hotcam power feel like in general. Is it a lot more power across the board? How does the the power come on? All around meaty, a little more off the bottom punch or screamin' in the top end? compare it to a stock 450r's power to get the most perspective. I have ridden all the years.

Have you ever stacked it up against a 426-440 or a 450r modified or stock?

I know its a lot of questions, but hopefully i can get some more replys on the people who have done build similar or the same as what I'm going to do.

I think you would see a good gain with those extra mods. While your at it i would get oversized valves and a fcr carb.

Well, on my old EX, I had a HMF slip-on, Hotcam Stg 2, '04 450r carb, port & polish, & JE 10.8:1 416 piston. In my opinion the power seemed comparable to my '04 450r when it was just piped & lid off. My EX definetely had more power down low. At the local drag races I could do much better with the EX than with the R because my EX would take the 450's off the line and they wouldnt start catching up till I hit 4th. Thats with stock gearing and 20" tires.

This would make around 35HP and have PLENTY of low end torque!

This is mine ( basically the same, except for the HRC cam)
