Frames keep bending!

k i used to have an 06 ltz400 and bent the frame on that and now ive got an 07 450r and bent the frame on it so would it be worth getting a stock frame again and gusseting it or should i pay the sh*t load of money it costs for an aftermarket frame or have u seen any lower cost aftermarket frames?

I would get a stock frame and gusset it. where are you having the problems?

stock frame and gusset it. My friend has a $2400 lonestar frame, and it isnt much different than stock and probly not stronger than a gusseted stocker but thats JMHO

if you had the extra cash laying around... i would buy a aftermarket, just cause you could do just about a all aftermarket build...like those laegar 250rs, but if i was in your position, i would buy a stocker, and send it to pappy, and have him gusset it,and pc it.

it doesnt matter that the aftermarkets look the same as stock, they are made out of chromoly instead of mild steel, the LSR frames are a lot stronger then a gusseted stock frame, i dont know if its worth your money to get one but if you can afford then do it. Gusseting isnt designed to keep a frame from bending, gussets are to prevent frames from cracking in high stress area's such as machine welded spots or where pieces of the frame meet and known weak spots, im not sure how you are "bending frames" usually you can only bend a frame from hitting something, frames usually crack or break not bend. just my .02

Where are u bending/cracking ur frames?

What kind of riding are u doing? Is ur suspension setup right?

Frames are never invincible but some things make them crap out faster.

Eastside couldnt have put it better and what do you weigh....Im 220 and beat the **** outta a stocker non gusseted frame with 0 problems.When it starts breaking ill have it beefed up until then the aftermarket suspension took a ton outta the stress on the frame!

i have weighed the same....220 for the past 5 years... Ive beat the living crap outta my 450R as yall saw by my pre-rebuild pic. There wasnt even a stress mark anywhere and ive rolled, tumbled, flipped, jumped, smacked a tree, cased a jump, u name it and i still aint got no bend or break. I do have a dent from a rock but thats it and that happened the second day i rode. if i was you i would get a stock frame, gusset and pc, and start riding.

it bent on the front part of the frame just kinda right behind the steering steem where the 2 pipes go up to the bumper and i just jump high and i bent em but im getting new aftermarket shocks so i might just get a stocker and gusset it and c how that does
