predator 90 + cr 85 motor?

i was just wonderin if anyone has tried something like this and how much work it would involve? i need a winter porject

It would be a scary ride!

I think that if you gusset the frame and put good suspension under it, it would make a killer mini race quad though. Or a badass pit quad!:devil:

that would completly kill the frame and swingarm they canteven take the power of a mod. pred motor....... try to find a blaster frame for the 85 ... they make good minis

that thing will haul soo much *** it wouldnt be funny, i would gusset the frame, and put suspension on like 416 said, maybe try to strengthen the transmission parts or sumthin.

If it had a CR85 engine, it would also use the Cr85 tranny, seeings how the trannies are built into the engine.

The frame and suspension would have to be beefed up so much though. I agree with nickmell, you would be better off to find a blaster with no engine (rolling chassis) and put it in that.;)

if u do use a blaster frame u have to strenthen the front of the frame where the motor mount atatches cuz it will rip about 2 inches of the frame above and below the mount out

jeez, if your putting it in a blaster frame it might as well put in like a yf 400 2 stroke, i like the original idea best

the only problem is that i am 16 and i am gona sell my 50 and make a pit quad so now idk if i should mod the pred motor or if i should get a 85?? the main thing i want is the manual tranny but if any one could give me a list of mods and where to get them for the stock motor i may go that direction

hetrick will be ur best bet but ur gona pay............. u def need to gusset the frame ....... but ur gona have problems with the swing arm ( it will either break or twist) so you have to plate the whole center and wat ever else u can........ if i was u i would sell the pred and get a honda 90 or lt80

there people parked next to us at one of our races and the kid broke the swing arm on his pred 50 like 3 times that day
