I've got my nerfs with the stock heels but the stock heel's are sooooo weak such a pain so i am probably going to buy 400ex nerfs with heels and mod them on to my 300. Doubt it though by that time i'd have probably moved on from my 300 lol

No, no one makes them. The only way you can have them is:

Stock heel guards

modify an aftermarket 400 heel guard

pay a fortune for IMS pegs for the 300, with matching nerfs, and heel huards. AC nerfs can also be used with IMS pegs and heel guards. All 3 peices are around $130-170 each. About $450 total.

I just settled for DG Fat Series nerfs for mine. I am going to go to a local welder / fabricator to have heel guards made. Nice thing is he actually rides so he gets what is needed.
It's simple things like this that I just can't find for this wheeler. I guess it's just a good reason to add a 400EX to the line up.

I juist made my own Nerfs out of steel pipe ..heaiver than aluminum but only way about 4lb. together (not as pretty )
But cost me under $20 ( heck for $450.00 you can have a nice mig welder and pipe bender , and make any mod u want not to mention fixing broke parts)

Y2, Stan, Pat, and I were thinking the same thing. We have more projects ahead and found a tubing bender for about $150 and a wire feed (with gas) for about $400.
My first thought will be to add heel protection to the back of the nerfs.

yea its nice when u crash your quad and break somthing to be able to juist weld it up......real easy to learn ,takes a little practise to get good at .........and the welder with gas (argon?) u should be able to weld alluminum ( i havent welded alluminium yet ,but have access to the equipment)

i would use helium gas if you are going to tackle aluminum it works better, less contamination in the weld puddle.

Ill take that into consideration...I plan to make a set of steel nerfs w heel gaurds for the 300ex (bolt on) if im happy with the results i will post a pic and a price and also weight seing how thats a concern for most ex riders bottom line my goal is to make an affordable set of nerfs for guys like me that cant afford all the high dollar mods ............I also plan to make a baja style front bumper that is wide enough to protect your tie rods from being mangled every time u touch a tree .( if you'r a serious trail rider you know what im talking about )

Good looking, affordable accessories will always have a market, no matter what the material.
I bet that the weight difference is not that big.

I juist mocked up my bolt on nerfs for 300ex or 250x ..They are made of 1/2 inck steel pipe ,and have heel gaurds that come to about a inch below the fenders ...they bolt on behind the stock foot pegs in the rear and bolt underneath in the front (sharing the skid plate bolts ) I havent decided what to use for webing yet..but I will repost when there done .Maby by then i will have a good camera to post my pics with ....lol PLEASE REPLY IF U ARE INTERESTED I was thinking i could sell these for $60.00 but i want to test my dezighn first ( Trust me they will be put through he@#)

right now they weigh about 3 pounds i will try to get a more accurate weight when they are done .........
