Pappy, my 450R frame, subframe, motor mount plates and swingarm shipped out today. You should see them Monday or Tuesday. The chassis will need gusseted and welded. There are cracks near the upper motor mounts, in the foot peg area, and more that I'm sure I missed. All bearings and brackets have been removed.

Frame, subframe, and motor mounts to be new sparkle red.

Swingarm to be hammertone grey. The swingarm is currently powder coated.

Looks like everything arrived today. I already gusseted the frame and will attend to the cracks once the frame is stripped so I can see what all needs attention.

Thanks Pap, keep me posted.

I know this may be too late, if so, no big deal. Does the gusset kit you use place gussets in an area that would affect the installation of a Precision stabilizer? I just saw a thread in the 450R section that addressed this. I'm currently running a PEP, and don't have any immediate plans to switch, but I can grind it if needed.

I wont be able to say for certainty until i pick it up for stripping on thursday wether i installed those or held them out (I usually install them unless otherwise informed not to.)

Usually we just trim the Precision mount down to clear the gussets and roll on. As long as they are not welded in centered on the tube there is usually enough room after a slight adjustment to the width of the mounting plate on the WER, Presiion and Elka dampners.

Pappy

yes we sure are. between the bad weather, my shoulder and putting the shop back together from saturdays contruction i will be coating again this evening and you are still first up.

i still have not seen the powder for your swing arm, but seeing i cant get anything shipped out due to the weather, i assume everything i have ordered is suffering the same fate (when the trucks can run they will etc) i havent been able to get anywhere in a 4wd so i know the fed ex and ups trucks are avoiding the area:p

Payment sent. There's a little extra there for you Pappy, some of this situation was beyond your control. I don't want to see anybody lose money on a job. I didn't want it to seem like I was rushing you. Thanks for taking care of me. By the way, were there alot of cracks in that chassis?

hey i appreciate it but **** happens and i am just glad you were understanding. i try and tell folks that you might not like what i say but you can count on it being the truth:p in this case my mistake and the strippers tardiness combined for a delay. sure as hell was my fault however:D I am glad i aint perfect, walking on water would get old:blah:

i honestly dont recall anything major, i usually check all the usual spots and fix them as i go but i dont remember yours being bad
