I just bought a 2000 EX400 from one of my buddies who never rode the thing. It sat in his garage for months. I'm an advid rider (other quad is a raptor 700 fully modded) who always hears how quads ruin trails, or how quads are so environmentally destructive...well this new quad is totally different. The honda 400ex is friendly to natures little creatures........

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

a while back we had an 86 Moto-4 225.

It sat in a shed for a small part of its life, but when we bought it, we went to clean the filter.

We seen the same exact thing!

The funny thing i was thing was...how in the hell did that critter get in there? I thought at first through the drain hole/plug...nope it was connected and closed off. Then I realized that honda put a snorkle on this thing...it used the snorkle like one of those hamster mazes you buy...simply amazing!

Too Funny! They love air filter boxes with long snorkel type air inlets, makes them feel safe as it is like a burrow. I have been owning Porsche 928s for many many years and if you leave them outside too long they will do exactly the same thing to them as they did to your 400... except they get 2 entrances!!!

lol, i had an old blaster pipe in my shed, and my buddy needed one to put on his bike to sell(he kept his graydon). we put it on and it would hardly run, like the pipe was plugged up. well we ended up using a air hose and blowing out a nest and a dead rat:eek:
