Hi, looking into getting into racing next season and want to work on the quad while my camaro has some down time. I don't want to sink to much cash in until I know I like it but what are some cheap things you guys would do? Tips tricks stuff like that. Its a 04 450r Honda. I have a 40mm fcr carb I was going to put on it see if that gives it some more juice.

What type of racing do you want to set it up for? Here are some ideas for "Cheaper" mods; exhuast, handlebars, air filter, bumper, nerfbars, tires are some good starting points whether for racing or not.

Motocross racing, I was thinking if there was any easy power adders you can do without buying anything like uncorking a car engine but Ive herd theres not much. As of tires kenda claws or hole shots would be what to look for right?

For power I agree with the others; getting a cam will really wake your motor up.

As far as the tires the ones you mentioned are good, but I prefer the Maxxis Razr or BKT x-drive tires.

HRC Kit, full exhaust, remove air box lid, and Maxxis Razr MX tires are awesome

I have the mx razors now and I'm not impressed, there not bad but I'm not a big fan. I think I'm going to look into that cam kit. Would one of the rev boxes help a lot or would it be a minor thing?
