fcr carb "o" ring

I just did the o ring mod on my fcr carb. Are the two linkages supposed to stay tight (closed) when you push the throttle. Mine doesn't.

which oring did you use ? and when you say it opens up how much are you talking ? and there are some that wire it .

The o ring came from jd jetting. It has about an 1/8" gap when you hit the throttle then slowly closes.
