Does this fit all year 450r's? The bog is really killing me on corners where I can't hesitate at all before a jump. Any other options?

They only fit the 06 and up TRX's with the FCR carb. The bog can be "tuned" out of that carb with jetting, no need to spend $100. You need to time your accelerator pump.

he is talking about dropping the leak jet from the stock 75 to a 55. it worked for me and at 7 dollars for the jet, is much more reasonably priced than the $80 quickshot

Can anyone tell me exactly where the leak jet is in the carb? Is this something most shops have right in stock or is it a special order part?

A lot of parts counter guys won't even know what your talking about when you say leak jet, let alone have one in stock. Unless your working with a parts guy that is uncommonly competent, your best bet is to have the part numbers.

The Honda part number for a #55 leak jet is 99108-MEB-0550, a #45 is 99108-KRN-0450, and a #40 is 99108-KRN-0400. The 55 is what comes with the HRC kit.

If you want to get them from a Yamaha dealer: Yamaha part numbers for leak jets: 4JT-1494F-XX-00. Replace the XX in that number to get these various sizes (e.g. a 50 leak jet is 4JT-1494F-07-00):

#130 XX = 33
#120 XX = 31
#110 XX = 29
#100 XX = 27
#90 XX = 23
#80 XX = 19
#70 XX = 15
#60 XX = 11
#50 XX = 07
#40 XX = 03
#35 XX = 01

Or, you can get one from someplace like Motorcyclecarbs.com (http://www.motorcyclecarbs.com/Keihin_Accelerator_Pump_Jet_N4_C90.cfm), or contact C&D Racing (a site sponsor, here).

Be aware most folks call these little suckers leak jets. But they also go by "bypass jet" and "pump jet" and "accelerator pump jet" and maybe some other variations.
