Looking for help with quad in WI

I have been having a problem with my quad makes a weird noise when at idle, cant describe it really, its done it since i bought it, it also has been bogging down sometimes when going through the gears but if out work past the bad spot it will open up and take right off. I was thinking maybe the jetting but why would it just start bogging down one day when i took it out.

Any advice given is much appreciated I am new to this wheeler and need some help before spring.

Is your Z piped? has it got aftermaket filter? you can check jetting by pulling spark plug if its black its rich if its white than its lean better to be rich than lean if its lean need larger jet you can get jet kit and solve your problem I bet you its your jetting. and kit comes with new needle and all the jets you,ll need and directions .

Also,Altitude can affect jetting ,Say you are at 5000ft and you bought quad that was jetted to sea level your jetting will be off at 5000ft just another thing that could affect it.

the quad does have a t-4 pro curcuit pipe and no air box lid but was jetted by my cousin who owned the quad before me. The thing ran fine, I put a new ready racing air filter on and ran it for about 2hrs. then took it to my cabin and it ran bad and ever since then no good, once you ride it for about 10 min it seems to work and only do it sometimes. I do always let it warm up for at least 5 min. before riding. I'm thinking carbs now that i talk to more people, I just got some sea foam to put through it, hear it works great.

You need to jet for new filter a filter lets more air in and is making it run lean I have pro-circuit slip-on ,revbox twinair,lid removed and running 152 maybe in the jet size you need to ask him the jet size and did he install the new needle for jet.
