T-shirt Contest!

I am going to have some t-shirts made for EXriders.com and I am running a graphic design contest - the winner will get a free t-shirt and recognition for the winning design! The theme is Winter EX Riding :) I need the back t-shirt design - with a 400ex in it somewhere. Post your designs here! The deadline for design submissions is Monday, Nov 18. I reserve the right to end the contest early. All submissions become property of myself. I alone will make the determination of the winner.

You should make a black or white t-shirt , whatever. With on the front a 400ex hitting a big snow pile, or made out into a jump getting some good air. Make it look really intense. Put some trees or something in the background, lol. O yeah have a good modded 400ex on it. After you have your snowy picture with the 400ex hitting a snow pile built out as a nice jump on the back of the shirt write maybe something like "Slide and Ride" or maybe like "Feel the adrennaline." I know it sounds stupid but I am trying to get myself one of these T-shirts! Im getting low on shirts, :D .

Do we have to draw some type of picture? How should I post a picture that I draw off of the computer somewhere if that is what we have to do.

Here's a simple old winter themed logo. I didn't know if you where looking for B&W or solid colors. From my experience printing T-shirts for our company, solid colors usually looks better than those printed with 4-color process. Kind of fu fu but here it is anyways:blah :

Well the idea not the actuall stick guy riding a turd thing.

It looked more like an outline than a picture or whatever and that would be both less expensive to produce and would stand out more also. and ever notice how the expensive fancy shirts fall apart quicker?

I cleaned up XANDADA's design. What do you guys think about using it either on the front left shirt pocket area or on the whole back and put a basic EXRIDERS.com logo on the front shirt pocket. What are your honest thoughts on this? :)

I like the pic ben. Personally, i would use that on the back and if possible, have a simple "exriders" embroidered (sp) on the left front.

The quicker a winner is picked the quicker I can get this process rolling and take pre-orders. They said 4 weeks at top from when I place the order, probably 3 weeks - right in time for Christmas. :) The company that I am setting the store up through keeps dragging its feet but I am hoping by the end of next week it will be set up as well.

the winter idea is cool and stuff and he did a good job with it alot better than i did, but i dont wanna wear a shirt abotu snow since alot of us dont get snow and alot of us dont ride in it d rather have somin like mine or the one of jon jumping and the baby cakes did was kick *** , im not puttin down any of the designs but i think we should keep snow out of it, alot of the ex riders here live in the south and places that get lil snow so why would they buy it? just my 2 cents, all the designs are good

Don't forget....some people go to school, and it has to be socially acceptable, and go to school rules...or your gonna loose some buyers.

That one that baby cakes made isn't going to look good after you wash it and dry it 5 or 6 times and it's only going to get worse from there. Go in your closet and look at a shirt that has some writing on it(That's not embroidered), it's craked and it's probably faded. That's why most of the T-shirts you see such as American Eagle, Abercrombie and Old navy just say something simple on them so they will look good for many washes and the better part of a couple of years. I would just like you to think about what this is going to look like and how long it's going to last cuz I would like to have mine for a couple years.

Photoshop 7 is what I use.

Pretty much anything is better than Microsoft Paint,lol.

Get photoshop...it has a zillion things, and they're pretty easy to find.

Striker, ya got the skillz, but some of the pics are too flashy, and wouldn't last long on a shirt. Nice Work :):cool:

I think some of you guys are missing the point. This round of T's is going to represent some type of winter theme. Maybe when summer rolls around they'll be another contest for another batch of T-shirts;) Whether or not it says "Winter '02" is really a moot point. How many of you wear concert T-shirts after the tour is over? How many of you have some kind of Abercrombie shirt that says '00 or '01 on it?

i think ur missing the pt, a winter theme is snow or santa clause, not everyone gets snow so why would 95% of the people on here want one, and why dont u jsut release a new style every season instead of havng it say a season,

No Harm intended. Sorry if I upset you, I'm trying not to be a pesimist. I just feel that a simple design looks better for longer than a detailed picture. Plus a detailed picture on a shirt probably isn't going to look as good as it does on here.

I think the winter theme is good to. I think we should stick with it for more than one reason, but the most important reason I thnk we should stick with it is because the guy that makes this site possible wants a winter theme and that's enough of a reason for me. If any of you out there B******* had to do what Ben does day in and day out I bet you wouldn't last a month. He's the man and he makes the decisions and that's the way it's going to remain. If someone wants something different express it and go on don't keep naggin about it for 15 posts. How can something this simple be so difficult.

You can please part of the people some of the time, most of the people some of the time, BUT YOU CAN'T PLEASE ALL THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME. So let Ben's decision stand.:grr

As far as I can tell freeride132 - you are really the main person who doesn't like the Snow 02', Spring 03' theme. Just because you post a response everytime someone else says they like it does not mean that it is a bad theme, or that the theme is causing problems, it means that you are just being over zealous with your opinion. I want everyone's input because I want this to be a popular shirt, no matter what the design - but if I come out with a plain jane t-shirt I am not going to come out with another plain jane t-shirt again for at least a year - because people like yourself will shoot it down. I personally would buy a shirt from a site or company I support and enjoy visiting even if it is a dune shirt, and believe me - there are no dunes within 12 hours of me. I like the idea of having a couple different shirts a year because they would become kind of collectable, not just a plain old shirt that everyone has. I will put up a poll later today and see what the majority people think on the winter design. If most people don't like it, I won't make it, I don't want to make something you guys don't want. If we can decide on a design it will go to the shirt company Monday monrning and we will have them in three to four weeks. I will need to take pre-orders once the design is chosen, to help cover the initial expense.

I think all the different themes would be cool like have a winter, 4th of july, halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, or whatever else. Also i feel that a winter and fall and all those are fine but without it actually saying winter 02 or summer 02 cuz i think the theme is sort of implied u dont actually have to say it and maybe it will bring more customers because of the people who dont want years.

Also i think a long sleeve or sweatshirt would be great since it is the winter and who goes out in a t shirt?
