ok not even lieing the cotter pin must have fallen off and then the nut worked its self loose because i was riding and then it felt like i got in a rut and i looked back and the tire was just rollin! is their anything i would have to replace other that the nut and cotter pin??

o its an 05 trx 450r

no. unless you bent anything. check to make sure axle is straight.

ok thanks i looked and everything looked stright to me but i asked a friends of mine and he said something about spacers but i wasnt fully sure about wat he was talkin bout

make sure everything is straight, the threads are good, and that the wheel bearing is still good, if so your good to go.

no spacers on a stock axle , if its a stock axle ,

ur a lucky 1 i had my wheel cum off while i was in 3rd flat cumnig into a conner,,, the bike wobbled then the axle dug in and threw me over the bars,,,, ended up with a broken arm,,,,,, i didnt no what happend till i got up and saw my wheel was missing

yeah i wasnt goin very fast at the time cuz i kinda just got it and was seeing how it worked in the snow so i kinda just thought it was a rut in the field
i'm gonna test the axle tomorrow 2 be sure its not bent but if it is its only very lil cuz i cant tell and i looked for a while

this has happened to me quite a few times:eek2: its never a good time when it happens either

I had that happen too a couple years ago and it came off just before doing a hillclimb :eek2:

I had one come off this summer 5th gear mid throttle cresting the top of a rolling hill in a field. I thought I was going down hard. My tire rolled a few hundred feet. Luckily it went right back on and I only had to order a new nut. I will forever check those cotter pins in there now.

yeah i think i got lucky i just had to order the nut couldnt find it i tried lol
