kinda weird question but does anyone here have their ears peirced? i've been thinking about getting a diamond stud in my left ear or both.....i have never been a fan of it but now that im 18 i guess im just looking to try something new and i feel it would fit in with my style pretty good.i figure its alot better than getting a tat since i can take em out and have them close up if i decide im not into it.....im probly gonna get it done this weekend but wondering if it interferes with helmets...i ride a motorcycle and quads and always have the helmet on...do you take the earings out while you ride or whats the deal.

im not sure if i wanna go left only or both....any opinions?

thanks

My daughter says the earrings hurt with the helmet on so she usually takes them out. She rode for an hour or 2 with them on and her ears were red and sore for the rest of the day.

The left earring thing brings back memories...don't assume it will close up... I pierced mine when I was 16 and haven't worn an earring in over 15 years (ya I'm old) and I still can wear one if I want to. Personally I wish I had never bothered with it.:ermm:

mine are gauged to 12 and i wear a pretty tight helmet and they dont really bother me, the only time i had a problem with it was when one ear got infected id go to a tatoo place and have dont clean cut and heals up better then the gun

i had diamond studs for awhile and they bothered me when i rode so i just put hoops in and it is fine now. and your ears once pierced is the only piercing that will never close up so keep that in mind.

I ride w/ study and i cannot even tell they are there, i guess it is a personal thing, they only thing you have to do is watch when you take your helmet off.

alright thanks for the info....seems like i should just try the helmet once i get it done and if it isnt comfortable just keep them out when riding.

i still think having a tiny hole in my ear would be better than having a tatoo that i regret getting years later so i think im just going to try it out.....gotta be a stubburn kid at some point in my life:p

I used to have my ears pierce. They would only hurt with a helmet when they were just put in. But I ended up being allergic to like metal like that and I had to take em out.

Sweet post....Do you have any friends?

Anyways I was thinking about getting my ears peirced and then gauged. Not huge but maybe a quarter inch diameter or smaller.

mine are 4 gauge, both ears. No problems here. I also don't have a post digging into the side of my head though, since I have either the pincher type, plugs, or tunnels in all the time.

it only hurts to take your helmet on and off for the first 3 monthes or so, after that, it should be fine. i take mine out everytime i ride just in case:scary:

If your ears hurt for three months they are infected. No way they should be sore for more than a month, and thats pushing it.

When I was in 4th Grade, I Got my Left Ear pierced. By Probably 8 grade, I had both pierced and Began to gauge them I got the To a 0, Kept them for a few Years, and Decided to take them out. They were out for about a Year and They Closed. I Re-pierced them, and now have normal Earholes.

And Yes, Do both, I think just one these days look plain silly.
