well i took it out for a ride yesterday and it performed very well. Only problem I had was I forgot to get the locknuts for my tie rods and they kept on coming loose :(

I did get to drag race a couple of bikes while I was there. A 450r and a banshee. .

The 450r only beat my by a bike in a 1st - 3rd pull and he didnt pull until I hit 3rd so I was happy about that. Idk how well of a rider that guy was but I thought he would pull me more than that.

The banshee is a friend of mine so we was messing around and decided to line them up. I had him through 2nd then 3rd and he pulled a few bikes on me then we shut them down.

In 4th it pulls its *** off (picks the wheels up when I hit 3rd and 4th more than when I hit 1st and 2nd).

Overall im very happy with the bike and had a blast on the maiden voyage of my 250r. Again, thanks everyone for all the help that you provided for me over the past year and im sure I will continue to gain more knowledge over time.

mineral-- are you running a stock jug and porting?

as far as I know it is a bone stock 85 atc engine with boyesen rad valve, LRD exhaust, and 38mm PWK carb. This engine feels like it pulls very hard for a stock engine and I didnt expect it to pull like this so maybe it has some porting done, but I was told its bone stock.

wow thats cheap! I picked up some off of here for $180 shipped. Im anxious to see it all done. Next up is a L/T front end and new aftermarket rear shock, figured I might as well finish up all the suspension before I tackle the motor

lol yea it got into the 60's yesterday so it was extremely comfortable riding.

Im planning on getting a LTR-450 possibly later this year or early next year. Id like to have the best of both worlds and I love the suzuki 450's for some reason.

I'm starting to like the Suzuki 450. but the z 400 i had the quality wasn't great. lots of weak bolts and that kind of stuff. i planning on going to Dayton for bike week. going to the supercross and the first gnccs. im taking the ex and hopefully riding a crooms riding spot. or just riding some where.lol
