Hello all. I previously had a '99 Banshee and '97 Suzuki 250r quad that I sold but now am looking to get back into the ride. I've done quite a bit of research on what new quad to get and I have boiled it down to the Outlaw 525 IRS and Yamaha Raptor 700.

Q: Does anyone have info on the 525IRS as far as jumping dunes? If the rear end is about 20lbs heavier than straight axles, how would these Outlaws glide through the air and land?

Thanks!!!

I have had my 525 for about a year now. It jumps really well. I don't get to radical but I get a few feet of air under me and it always lands perfect. The IRS lands smooth even when you land crooked.

Here is a link to me getting some air. I'll see if I can find some others.

Ive had my outlaw for about a year now and ive hit several large jumps and it lands like a cloud. and if u come down a lil bit off kilter it will soak it up much better than a straight axle. i love my irs.

Thanks fellas; that what I hear from many posts. Landing on the 525IRS is much better for your body. I remember landing sideways on my previous quads and man, I'd get jolted.

BTW: Thanks for the pics, just make my juices flow.

My attempt at 200 feet on the 525IRS, came up just a little short of the 200 foot mark though ;)
