400Ex Carb on a TRX300Ex 4x4?

Will this work? And will it give any power gains. I will be getting a new Carb for Christmas and i was gonna give mine to my dad so his 4x4 can get a little more top end or torque. Which ever it will give?Is this possible?

I thought about putting a stock 400ex carb on my Rancher. I did not want to by one to try it.
Are you talking about a 300 4x4? not a 300ex. Some of the guys are putting 400ex carbs on 300ex but they have to change the intake boot to one off a 350x. You may have to do the same.

u don't have to change the boot for the 300 is just a lil tight fit an what not but id try it on th 4x4 for **** an giggles an ull see a topend encrease by allot if u do..

oops sorry about that I am talking about the TRX300 4x4. not the 300Ex. My dad has has a utility quad and he wants some more power but doesn;t wanna spend money on it. so i figured i would give him my carb since i getting a new one.
