all boost bottles are the same i have a UM, fmf makes one, prodesign, they're all the same, shocks...well thats not my fortay, but elka, tcs, and works, depending on how far you want to go, i do know works are the cheapest and do okay for the money, tcs and elka there top of the line, im not a motocrosser though, i do mainly drags and play so stockers or struts are good for me, hope this helps

From what i've read, Boost bottles do almost as much as kicking at the ground to make you go faster.

As for shocks, 'Top Of The Line' is Fox Evols, or high end Custom Axis.

I'd look in the for sale section fo this forum, you can find some good deals on used Elka's or what not.

boost bottles do do almost nothing, but there $30. not a huge waist of money !

That 30 bucks would be better spent changing your oil/coolant. and putting some gas in it i guess :)

30 dollars isn't $h1T and i'm a poor man, just buy it, it looks half way cool and nobody knows if it adds or not, it does take away some hesitation out of the bike

It cracks intake boots, allows the engine to suck in too much air and runs lean = more money spend on rebuilding your engine.

yes but as soons as intake boot is cracked you will know, to check this, start quad let it idle once it warms up spray ether on the boots if it starts idling really high you have a cracked boot ! simple 2 second check before you ride

You mean you have to spend more money on something that doesn't work so you can check to see if it not only didn't work but ruined something else?

Yay! I'll get one right now!

My friend and I both had stock shee's and he got a boost bottle. We raced and guess what...we wear about the same. Just depended on who got the better start.

go to bansheehq.com there is tons of issues with them. they crack boots and don't do crap.

im not saying they do anything if they do, 1 hp is not noticable, a piston kit only adds 2 hp, is that saying they dont do anything ? degree keys add like 3...? people will have problems, my raptor had cracked boots, maybe it was the imaginary boost bottle i put on it ! the part is 30 dollars, im not saying they dont help the boots to crack and make you really fast, but it has to do something or they would not me makin money off them. it is designed to release some hesitation out of low rpms

OK you show how much you know

1 HP is alot. You will tell a diffrence.

Piston offer more HP then that. Depends what you get.

Now for the boost bottle: The reason they sell them is because of people like you. You think just because they sell them they do something.

Go on ebay and get a electric super charger and tell me what you think

1 hp is a lot on your Z, on a shee...if you aint gettin 10-15 hp out of pipes you been done something wrong. on a thumper, 5-8.theres no way to prove if they do anything unless u dyno w/ and w/o

I've owned 3 shees;)

im just saying +2 degree keys add like a hp, you dont notice it but they do add a little, im not saying boost bottles are for everybody, but to say they mess things up, i've never had a problem with them, i've never had a problem w/ any of my fords or chevys but thats not to say they dont mess up either.i've had good luck with boost bottles, maybe they dont add anything but they do take away hesitation and throttle lag, so of course i'm gonna keep buying them, obviously if youve had bad luck with them your not gonna buy them anymore, thats understandble. not trying to bash but it is an iffy product, to say there not worth money, $30 bucks ...?

Ive never used one.

From what I hear from members on banhsee HQ it could even take away power:scary:

like a cobra or DG exhaust system ! yea it could i dont know b/c like i said i've never had dynos done with and with out but who knows. i guess best thing to do is save money, and run a single intake carb set up ! 2 into 1 system

firefighterjosh

Single carb also takes away power;)

If you can dial in a stock twin carb set up it will make more power then the single carb set-up.

Most the time a single carb give more power becuase its easier to dial in.

Now if you had a all stock engine i am sure the single carb would work fine

twin carbs produce more top end, TRUE, but a larger single carb will produce alot more bottom and midrange power with yes sacrificing a small amount of topend

Ive had many shees throughout the years, always had a boost bootle, and NEVER had any issues with boots cracking or any other BS some people post about them, I think that was said by one person and everybody just decided to say that, NOW do they do anything? Nobody REALLY knows. Nobody has actual proof either way, If anything they just add a little "bling" and 30 bucks for some bling isnt bad considering some people will spend like 320 bucks for a polished alum stator cover that does nothing but look pretty and add some weight to the bike as compared to the plastic stocker

thank you, thats what i was sayin'. they look good and 30 bucks isnt crap.
