ok ive asked before but seriously my aol is turning into junk, the dial up noise sounds terrible and its slower than ever (it literally took me 15 min. from signup to get to this new thread page) and ive wrote aol multiple times on the matter and it seems like its such a hassle to write me back and ive been thinkin of getting netzero and trying it out, anyone had it? also on the small chance its my computer isnt there something i can pickup at walmart to plug in somewhere and that fixes it? any tips would be appreciated, this is biggest threat ive had of cutting off all my internet activities (most of which is exriders and ebaums :D )

or DSL. I have DSL and it was a huge step up from dial-up. Deffinately worth it!:)

dsl is a good choice also thats what i got at first when i stepped up from dial up but i love my cable compared to the dsl i had there is close to a 6mbps difference between the worst connection i've had with my cable and the best i had with my dsl

If FIOS is around, this would be your best selection over anything else.

Cable or FIOS is by far the fastest you can get

20 - 40 dollars a month is far worth infinite knowledge and alot of fun over 10 - 15 a month of pure frustration

yeah ill be honest with yall my aol is only $10 a month (a few times twice because of their screwups) but anymore its not even worth that and i was hoping if i complained enough the would just fix it then i wouldnt have to bother with switching everything (exriders, itunes, ect.) to another address but anyway what exactly is cable? fios? or dsl? what all would i need and how would i obtain it?

do you have comcast in your area? or verizon. give one of em a call, and they can help you out, they can tell you a ball park range, and you can find out whatever questions you ahve, and its super fast.

i cant believe AOL still allows dial-up. you sure your not calling a local "ma & pa" service and then connecting to AOL? if so, then youre wasting bandwidth and perhaps money.

are you limited to dialup? if so, then netzero wont be much of a gain..

your likely trying to get updates for windows, aol, anti-virus, etc. and nothing your gonna get outside of broadband is gonna make it better.. some updates are significant in size.

id look into a cable, then wireless, then dsl in that order.

comcast cable internet is what i have and it doesn't get much better than this i hear fios is pretty good though which is verizon's version either way ditch aol and get a type of cable

my house switched to cable about 5 years ago. None of us know how we lived the way we did with it. Always yelling and screaming at it!!!! No more yelling and Im on wireless, so if our cable stops working for some reason, 3 of my neighbors have un-securded networks that i jump onto for alittle.lol. They know i do it so its no problem.

also, dont get internet from a dish, the signal coming in is fast but going out has a 3 second delay (sucks for games)
