WOW!!!! I thought I could get used to the thumb throttle. I really tried. After my first flat out sprint race down a river bed ( 18 miles round trip ) I figured out that I was not gonna be able to do it. Water Crossings and cold weather cramped my thumb to the point that I used the ball of my hand to finish the last 4 miles.

Installation was easy as cake. There are three models though. So be sure you know what you want.

CR Model - Full turn
Turbo Model - Half turn
Vortex - quarter turn

Make sure with the vortex ( the one I have ) that you ride full out or you are getting gas... because those are about your options with a quarter turn throttle. Here is the link

Thanks for the info. I am still considering going that route. So for technical riding you would recommend the turbo or cr

For better riders and for trails I would say the turbo. If you have young riders I would say the CR. I just got back from testing mine on some trails, sand and whoops and I have to say I am surprised at the vortex. I was able to manage highly technical sections that required a lot of throttle control but there were times that the power application came a little quick. That is also probably just me getting used to a twist on a quad though. If you plan on any racing at all the Vortex is the way to go even for trail riding. My father had the turbo put on at the same time as I put on my vortex and he is still grinning from ear to ear. I would probably recomend the turbo for technical stuff unless you are like me and ride like you have no brain cells.

I put the vortex on my outlaw from day one. I love it and would never think of using a thumb throttle.
