Usually always kept it at 13 front and 8 rear. No that is what Brock Lyons told me to run. It actually forces the shocks to do more work then the tires absorbing the hits, so if your shocks are setup good then it will be a better ride.

12 in the front 8-10 in the rear depending on track conditions

Running that much air pressure in your front tires will actually make the front suspension of your quad work harder than it has too. Most ATV tires are designed to be run at a relatively low pressure allowing the tire to soak up some of the bumps in the trail.

Try running your air pressure at about 5 to 7 psi versus the 13 that is mentioned. Another thing with running your tire pressure that high will make the center section of your tires wear faster. A tire set at a lower pressure will allow the tire to flex placing more rubber on the trail and will expose more surface area for better traction.

very good info...but we are talking MX pressure but same concept. Lowere pressure = more tread on ground = more traction and less tire spinning + longer lasting shocks and bearings & seals.

You'll get a more positive feel for the ride at 12 psi. Low pressure will tent to feel mushy if you are racing or riding hard. Set your tire pressure low and turn the quad side to side while riding on hard pack and watch the side wall flex and you will see what I mean by mushy.

Like the guys said, you will have to try different pressures and see what works best for you. I like the pressure low so the suspension doesn't beat me to death as mine is still stock! Just my opinion though.

i run 11-14lb. in front and 8-12lb in back depending on the track. i discussed this subject with chad weinen and seth fligge from SF racing at a race at sunset ridge. they both run around my pressures. They said that running higher pressure loosens up the quad and lowering it tightens it up. i tryed it and i can definately tell a difference in the way it slides and turns through the corners. chad and seth rarely run below 10lb in the front.
