what size front sprocket should i run for mx? i have 18 inch tires.

i have a 14t and i was wondering if i should go down to a 13t?

well it depends on track and your build(hp)

the 13 is good for tight tek tracks . the 14 is a 04-05 mx regular choice. try some rear changes.
i run a 15/38 on my 530

Yes i wouldnt recommend changing the front sprocket. Maybe a tooth higher on the rear but its a very drastic change on the front.

For a 450R with at least a pipe and filter, stock gearing with 18" rear tires is what I prefer. Good combo of speed and acceleration. You can gain a little more acceleration, but then you're shifting way too often and tiring yourself out quicker.

just keep the front stock. The bike is already decently geared for MX.

With 18" tires the stock one is just fine.

theres no way that stock is good for every track. we race at 4 tracks and there all different and require dif gearing:devil:

yes there is a way and its worked for me so far and apparently several others.
