i think thats a decent price, could always try to talk em down some... I think the cheapest you'll find a 'framed R is around $5k :ermm:

I think it's a bit much. Could realistically buy elsewhere for $4000 or less. The older Lonestar frames only go for $500-$800 on the bay.

WOW!! Its a small world!
My all original 88 250r was purchased at FHK by the guy that sold it to me.

As for if its worth it?
Id say yeah its worth it considering if you were to try and build one it would cost you more than 6 grand!
But thats just my 2 cents cause im just learning what all these aftermarket parts cost myself.lol

Next week I have to install a few windows in Freeport and if it isnt already gone Id love to see this R in person but dont worry i can no way afford it !lol

comparing it with what it costs to build has almost no relevance whatsoever... you never get out of them what you put in, especially when you put on a lot of aftermarket accessories...

you can buy quads that people have sunk $15k for $4k...

i recently bought a yamaha raptor, took roughly $7k worth of aftermarket parts off of it (everying you see on my raptor in my sig) and traded them out with stock parts, and sold the bike for exactly what i had into it originally... now i got a good deal on it in the 1st place, but i didnt buy it for $7k too cheap...

Check the chassis for cracks. Lonestars like to crack around the motor mounts and on the main tube by the pegs. I think the price is a little high, my buddy has one of Barry Hawk's Laeger quads with stroker motor, full PEP's, all the goodies for XC and he can't get $5000 for it. Looks every bit as good or better than that Lonestar too.

He's not a member on here but I'll give him a call tomorrow and see if he still wants to sell it. If so, I'll get you his phone number. I know that Duvall raced it for a season or two after Barry quit. Maybe you'll remember when Duvall rode it, the chassis was green. I'm pretty sure the shocks are still engraved "Barry Hawk" with all the specs on them.

The price is a tad high although like mentioned if you plan on building one ground up buying that would save you money. The things CLEAN looking in the pics and it is worth alot but not that much. Id say 4500-5000 range.

NO ONE should ever use "well I've seen them go for this cheaper" or "you could find one cheaper" because all R that are modded are different in so many ways and just because you've seen a special deal doesnt mean the rest will be OR should be.

-Condition
-Mod list (and parts used in build)
-Over all look
-Freshness of build (engine, suspension, chassis)

These all determine the price and what its worth.
If everyone had money falling out of there arse's they would buy that R mentioned in a second (I would) and not feel ripped off. But buyers are cheap and like to de-value everything they buy.

I agree. If the motor is completely fresh, (top and bottom end) and all bearings, seals, etc.. are all new, it would cost a lot more than that to duplicate. Its a nice R. Plus recently, i have seen a trend where 250R's are starting to gain value again.
