tiwist or thumb

Hi I have a 300ex and i wanted to here your opinoin on a tiwist excellorator or a thumb.

i love twist. in my mind its the only way to go. but, it takes a little to get used to, cuz turnin u have to be careful, cuz at first u may wanna twist as u turn. thats not a pretty site afterwards. plus, jumpin and whoops, u have to be careful as to not twist as u hit the ground. it sounds easier, but doesnt take too long to get used to. but IMHO twist is the way to go.

I think that the only way to go from thumb to twist would be if your used to riding a Dirtbike. I love my thumb throttle, i feel like i have total control over the bike and think that it would be hard to take turn and whoops with a twist but some people will never go back to thumb its preference...if you did want a twist you can pick up a used one there always for sale from kids who didn't like em...

Ive had both.. Actually I had a twist on my first and a thumb on my current quad. I personally like the thumb better for the most part. The twist is nice for holeshots and flatter ground. But its a lot easier for me to jump the thumb throttle then the twist. Plus to much body english can cause a little more twist then desired and mess you up if you arent expecting it.

It basically boils down to personally preference and riding style.

well of course you do, someone used to a twist will get tired with a thumb if they wenton a long ride.:rolleyes:

i would wrather have a thumb than a twist but its all on what your used to........I think it would be hard on whooops to have a twist but that just me.....................

thumb here, I tend to get myself into some hair situations with twist and it feels really awkward on a quad to me.

i think a thumb is more comfortable

It's a personal preference, the best way to answer that question it to try both and form your own opinion :cool:

i have a twist now, but plan on keeping the thumb on the next bike. i hate how if you jerk around, so does the throttle, it can get scary.
