has anyone used 08 plastic on an 04-05 ?

both are kickers so the 08 is red.i hear the front fenders are identical but the rear where it goes by the tank differs . the kid whos selling said he just trims a tab and it snaps in under the tank and holds good. anyone else do this ? he did this on an 06 or 07 i thought he said. whats the worth of this plastic complete down the headlight and mount ,hood,front and back,zero rides? how about the lighting plug ? thanks for any info

I know that it has been done and there are few posts about it floating around here somewhere.. the rears are a little different, but I guess something like zip ties does the trick.. The headlight plug is identical.. I run an 07 headlight on mine and mine is an 04.. I would say that brand new plastic with headlight, all mounts and hood would be fair at about $400..

i was getting them for 250 minus mounts ...i think mine will work.seems ok . plastic is virgin:D

Brand new sets of 07 plastic from Honda of Troy is $300. Thats without the hood. I put a set of these on my 05 and the only thing that didnt fit perfect was where the fronts of the rear plastics snap in under the tank, and obviously the headlight took some basic fabrication. Every bolt and rubber went where it was on the 05 perfectly.

the 06-08 front plastics will bolt right of if you have the matching hood. if you buy a maier hood you will see it has holes for the different year fenders.

well.... i got the plastic yesterday.it works perfectly except for under the tank...i didnt have the tank support on my bike. it wasnt there when i bought it. the front works really well...just use the 08 hood and if you want to use lights just trim along the seam on hood and its perfect. leave the 04-05 light mounted ..just trim the bottom of the hood for light to shine correctly.its like honda was trying to make it easy. the 08 plastic looks sano with the louvers under the seat. looks nice. thanks

I know most people say to use the 06+ under gas tank plastic piece so the rear fenders will attach. I tried putting one on my 05 the other day but it didn't fit very well. The plastic piece was hitting the valve head cover before it sat correctly. I'm sure it could be trimmed a bit and would work fine. Didn't know if you had figured that out or had any of your own ideas yet Maybe this is some help:ermm:
