well since i blew my engine i am not gonna spend the money to fix it. my dad found us a atc250r from a bud at work. its better than nothing. so were gonna cut and hack it into place. i will have pics of step by step on this. has anyone else done this? proably not. heres a pic of what it looked like before i blew it up (except i got 18" holeshot mx on .190's now rear)

its gonna have some sweet power, alot better then the old motor
prolly need to make different motor mounts, also you need pipe, carb, radiator etc.. its porlly gonna be more $$ than u think
you'll have more prob's with atc motor than ur 250x, atc's 250r motor arent that great

i know but i will be actually moving somewhere instead of sitting. im not sure if its a atc250r my dad and his friend dont know jack about atv's so all he said was "my buddy said he can get us a 250 3wheeler if we wanted" the only 250 3wheeler i can think of is the 250r.....or am i wrong?

nope atc250r tri-z 250 and tecate 3 are all 2 strokes. i dont remember if suzuki made a 250 3-wheeler

Was there an ATC250X? Or was that the atc250sx? Or was it atc200sx? Or atc200x?

the 250sx was a slower 4-stroke. I believe that the big red was a 250 too.

i am also almost postive that the big red was a 250 4stroke. that would be cool if it was a 2 stroke cuz your 250x would haul @ss

ok i cant get the engine the guy decided to keep it. now i am stuck with my old engien to piece back together. how would i go about getting higher compression. im gonna put a new pipe on it and i know a high comp. piston and cam but what kind of piston and cam and is there anything else

My grandpa has an 85 big red, and it's a 250. So the 86's are too. If you want to look up crap on atc's go to http://www.3wheelerworld.com/
