hey everyone, first time posting... been browsing for a few weeks... i've seen a BUNCH of great info! well here's my pride and joy... its an 89 250R still on the original motor never been rebuilt... but its coming soon!

Since it's not 100% all original, I would say that you won't lose any resale value by rebuilding that engine and making it fresh. Some nice porting would add a bit of pep.

yeah, i know, it was original when i got it... but the a-arm were pretty beat up... this thing was used pretty good by the previous owner... but im just tryin to build it up for a pretty good all around duner... thinking of ESR 330...

Even though the East Coast is the RIGHT coast (just kidding ha!) I really wish we had some dunes like you West coasters!!

Very nice R man.. keep us updated on mods!!

HAHA, yeah Dumont has some pretty big dunes, great place to ride! but i thought the WEST coast was the BEST coast? :p

as far as mods, the motor is next to be done, just waiting for my tax return $$$

nice R, could you hang with your buddies on thier quads? Get a 310 or 330 motor on that Beast.

i can hang in the begining, but once we start moving i get pulled... especially up hill, those 4 strokes got the torque to keep em going...

i only have an old FMF gold series pipe, turbine core 2 silcencer, UNI air filter... and yeah a 19yr old stock motor :mad: but yeah a 330 is in the works, then we'll see who is in front!
