anybody using crf450 carb?

i was wondering if a crf450 carburetor would make a diffrence on a trx450?

if your putting it on an 05 yes it willl make a big difference, your going to need a carb extension for it and you can get them from JH Racing or through Noss. But if you have an 06-08 it already has an fcr and if you want to make it a little better you can send it to tokyo mods and they will do all there stuff to it and that also makes a good difference

powerwise there will not be much difference. some say better throttle response. i would not consider getting one unless you plan on porting it. that is my opinion though.

I'd only spend the money on one if I was going to do the full treatment with the taper boring that chad offers. JMO.

I've got one off of an 05' crf and I think its a great mod. One of the best in my opinion. I got it when I only had a pipe and cam and the throttle response it provides is amazing. It takes some tuning to get it right, but when you do it is great. I highly recommend. :macho

The 07 CRF FCR is different from all the others. I run this on my 06R and I'm tellin ya it kicks the stockers *****. The 07CRF is a 41mm and the 06TRX is a 40mm. The accelerator pump and cover are also different which makes the throttle response so much better with the 07 CRF FCR. And with a mildly tuned motor or a full blown race engine the stock jetting with full exhaust and and no airbox lid is almost perfect with the 07 CRF on the 06-08R's. IMO this is one of the best bolt on mods for all year TRX450's, especially if you buy it new from Service Honda for $390ish.

im not completely sure what tokyo mods does but i know they do there own special thing to the whole carb and it is worth the money even if you dont get it board. i have road all three, one with just a crf carb, one with a crf with a tokyo mods make over, and a crf carb they board and did there stuff to. Just having them do there mod makes the carb ten times better and i will not ride a quad that does not have there mods done to the carb.
