different pipes on different years?

what is the difference between the 04-05 pipes and the 06 pipes, is the head pipe bent different, I am new to the 450r game and cant find anything specific to my year used so I am wondering if I can settle for a 06 pipe, thanx in advance!

The 06 won't work on the 04/05 The silencer mounts different and the head pipes are different.


I have a used sparks for an 04/05 for $300

not true at all. Ever see the difference between a 04/05 Rossier and a second gen Rossier? The first gen has a huge curve while the 06 and up models are basically straight like stock.

I don't know if he does or not, but all he would have to do is switch to an 06 subframe and grab bar.

I read somewhere that the exhaust angle is different and the motor is forward 9mm.

there was a supe rlong thread about guys running 06 hrc headers on thier 05's and they fit right up ive seen pics.

they do, but becaues of the different designs in the motor, the different bends are needed for certain motors.
