450r stem

I read the interchangabilty thread awhile back and if i remember right the 450r stem will work on the ex. Is it any longer? Any mods needed to use it or bolt on and ride?

I don't know about the length but the 450R stem is a larger diameter than the 400EX stem. Not sure how you would get that to fit the upper clamp.

ahh i thought i read that it would work i wonder if it was 250r and i got them mixed up :confused:

you could buy a 450 clamp for up top. I think that much of it would work, but I don't know about the bottom of it, if where the bearing goes would be any bigger.:( Definately not "readily" interchangeable.

thanks for clearing it up guys. Im glad i asked first lol.

So will any other stems work or just the ex stem? Not that its a big deal but more variety = more availability :D
