I was wondering if anyone here knows how much the trx450r motor weighs. I need to know what the weight difference is between it and my xr650r motor so when I put it in I can have the guys at TCS build my shocks properly. Thanks

Before someone asks why I don't just weigh the motor when I pull it is because I bought just the roller without the motor.

I just shipped ours out

Shipped the whole motor with carb. The box after packing paper and a few SC Hoodys and T's came to 99lbs. So I would guess the motor alone with fluids is some where around 80lbs

thanks guys thats good news. apparently the xr650r motor only weighs 88lbs so that really not too much of a difference.

That 88lbs I got was from Honda, sooo, that is completely empty without fluids, and that weight probably came from their solid modeling programs, just like a lot of their quad dry weights. I would be interested to see what an actual in hand xr 650 motor weighs... It's probably not far off though

Also dont forget you are going to have an extra oil tank and lines, the added oil capacity, possibly a larger radiator, larger fluid capacity for that, the motor will more than likely be a lot taller too. Just some things to think about.

~20 lbs is actually a pretty significant difference for a 350 lb machine...
