Do a search for: Project Z I made the gussets for the frame. made the belly skid and braced and welded mounts on the subframe as well as built the 12 o'clock bar.

Is it me or is that steering dampner on backwards. Nice gussets btw.

Yes it is backwards, its really goes towards the back of the quad ,the mounting point in front makes no difference where you mount it as long as it can go in and out it with out hitting anything, works great! friend had accident on 400ex and broke the end off the damper and I cut and re-threaded the end and mounted on my Z works just as good.

the battery is right were it has alway been . http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f9/cataway/8-11-2007LS007.jpg
i even moded the air box to act as a splash gard for them muddy trail rides, but for sand i take it off. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f9/cataway/9-21-2007LS019.jpg

the air boot that i now use is from a TRX450r its shorter than a 400ex boot which gave me more room to work with.

this is the way it was with the 400ex boot and yes i did have to
cut out a little of the battery box to make it fit

in hind sight, with the 400ex boot ,if i had shortened the boot
i would not of had to remove any of the battery box. as well using the flange to mount the filter to the bracket was a bone head trick.
using a short piece of exhaust pipe through the bracket
works way better .
i do wish i could get a look at a DS650 boot ,
i hear it should work on a ltz ,with out a air box of corse.
some days ya just wish ya had a dyno in the garage to check out all the different things that could be done.

i am wondering what type of connector is used to attach to a stock carb,a FCR carb or a FCR with a RAT stack?
all 3 have a different bell sizes to attach the ESR to, the BSR carb and the RAT stack are close to the same size but the FCR is smaller .

I have made my own airbox with aluminum battery box built on the back of it because i would pound batteries through the stock plastic one. I have also made my own headlight eliminator (seen in picture) ignition key and light holder, swing arm skid plate, rear fender braces, and nerfbar support brackets (on top of my AC nerf bars). It helps when you have access to a tig welder and welding shop.
