View Full Version : what gears are should i run for mx

ok i have 18" tiers and a 440 ported for mx titanium springs hot cam. what i want to no is what gears should i run for mx. the track i run on is a fast track. the track is in casey. that is wear one of the nationals was held.

i second that ;) or you could go with a 16 up front since you have a 440 your choice try both see how you like them

they guy told me to go with 16 36 but i cant fined the 16 to go up front
if it is a short tite corner track what should i do

i have 16/36 on my 416, and it is the best gearin i have found. well, i havent raced with thew gearin yet, but ive rode it enough. it would be the best on longer tracks. but for short tracks with lots of twists and turns, i would either run that or 15/36. but, the 16 tooth imho is the best. i got a renthal one from a local shop.

15/36 is my favorite setup for MX,,whether it's a long track or a tight track with lots of turns,,the 15/36 works best for me..
