help wiring sub to sub box

how do i hook these flat square wires from the sub box to the round terminals of my sub?

either..
1. cut and strip those quick-connect terminals from the wires, then use the bared copper in those speaker terminals or
2. get non-insulated male quick-connect terminals and use their crimp barrels as the pins for the speakers terminals.

cut those ends off, strip the wire and insert them into the terminals
