I'm going to be on the market here for a newer truck (it'll probably be bought used since I have around 18,000 to spend) and I'm not too sure what I want. I like the new Dodges (especially the Rumble Bee) and Chev's (the Silverado 1500 SS) but other than that, I don't know what other types of trucks to check out.

I like sportier looking trucks (cab size doesn't really matter, I just don't want a long box), it has to come in 4X4, and it has to be fairly new (2003 and up). Anyone have any suggestions?

said he has 18k to spend..

A new harley F150 base price is 36k msrp so used is going to be pretty expensive aswell. Also think they come in 4x2 or AWD

all I can say is look around, go to used car dealers, Craigslist.com, ebay.

for 18k you are looking at probobly a '05 4x4, anything newer most of the time is over 20k. harley davidson trucks are a lot more than 36. a '08 crew cab 4x4 is 34k

Chalk another vote up for the TITAN. I had a sierra previously and not dogging GMC I loved that truck but the Titan's a lot better truck. More Power, more room and over all nicer cleaner interior. My GMC was SLT Z71 2002 ext. cab my Titan is a SE King cab 4x4. I got my Titan in November for just over 18,000. Ohh yeah it drinks the gas though. I mean like 13 in town. Hope this helps.

i bought my Z71 about two years ago and it was an 02.($18,000) it had 6 in fabtech suspension lift wiht 2" body lift and 35" tires. i sold it cause gas was hard with those big tires but i regret it so bad. i like it much more then my 2wd lariat f-150. the ford is nicer but the chevy was a little more sportier and i just seemed to like it better. but it's always in personal preference. they both drive great.
