What do you guys think about the White Bros R4 for a 400ex?:macho

i like mine. but if i got a new one, i probably get a different one, only cuz i like to try new things. but i do really like it. i shortened mine and it is quite a bit louder than the regular length. but overall its a good pipe.

Crashin did you notice any performance gains off doing that? I have been trhinking about trying it to mine but I didnt know what it would do. Its a great pipe but I think it is a little long. How much did you chop off the silencer? Any info on it would be highly appreciated. Mo

mo, i didnt really notice any difference. but if there is, its very minimal. i did it for the looks more than anything. it is louder though. what i did was, i drilled out the rivets on the end cap side and took everything out. i then cut 5 1/2" off. i used an air cuttin tool. u can use anything, hack saw would work good. i then cut the inner screen. now, if u have access to a welder, then rerweld the one end that was cut off back onto where u cut it off. then u have to drill new holes for the rivets. this is the hardest part. i basically lined up the holes by holdin the end cap up and measurin down and makin a mark. i was off a little on one, but i enlarged it a bit and then the rivet pop right in. then i took the thing that says R-4 off and put it back on, this is optional, but i thought i would so people knew what it was. i hope this helps. if u have any more questions, pm me.

mity, i would only take off about 2 inches. 5.5 is a lot of silencing material to get rid of

i rode mine for the first time last weekend with the R4 i loved the sound, and i deff. felt the power gain

how u like the 14 tooth in the front??? i put mine on last weekend, and i couldnt ride it, i couldnt get the chain back on, how did u get the master link back on???
