need balljoint help

One of my ball joint boots was completly ripped so i took it off went down to the auto parts store and bought a package of assorted boots. I found the correct size now my only problem is attaching the boot. Has anyone done this before? what did you use? thanks.

I personally have never done this before. You might have to buy a new ball joint since they already come with one on it. If I am correct, I dont think you can take the balljoint out af the a-arm. If you do I dont think you can get it back in.

i know with my lonestar arms i can replace just the boot and buy them from lonstar. pretty certain there is a metal o ring that keeps it in place and seals it.

yes there is a metal o-ring on the factory ones the boot i bought is just rubber.

then i would try and get the old one off or just get some hand grip safety wire and try and get that to work.
