What sup with this... Anybody else have this problem... I took my Lonestar stem off and put a Houser on and now my stabilizer will not mount up due to the stem gussets. Anybody else have this issue??? Better yet where do ya re-mount it if it will work. Love the stabilizer and really want it on there but dam this sucks.

if it is on a honda then houser uses a different size stem then other companies including stock. I know a few guys who cut off hose clamps and put them under the stabilizer clamp. This is assuming the clamp is too big on it.

Correct Houser uses a different diamater stem.

Or I have the clamp that will work. You can have it for $15 shipped. Just PM me.

seeing he stated "due to the stem gussets", I would have to ask what type of stabilizer he is using? the gussets are at the very top of the stem by the bar clamp, and the bottom of the stem by the tie rod plate.

Finally got it to work... Had to switch sides and put it on a funky angle to get it to work... But it did... The gussets I was talkin bout was on the bottom. Thanks Ya'll

I'd like a pic too, actually of your old (my new) setup as I have the same stabilizer.

Thanks!

Will this issue w/the steering stem occur with just a PEP stabilzer or all stabilzers? I am in the market for a houser stem and have a muscle stabilzer. Will this be a problem for me w/the stem?

I would say no problem... Only problem I had was with the PEP it mounts differently. I had to "weave" mine through to get it to work is all. On the PEP I had to mount the one side to the frame bar that comes down right in front of the nerf bars on the left side...(Thats if your sittin on it). The clamp actually touches the nerf bars. (AC Pro Pegs) Then go through to the stem just above where the gussets for the stem stop. Takes a lot of finaglin but it does work. I did have to cut the end of the clamp that goes on the stem although. It was hitting the frame when I turned. Now that I got it done all is good. Sorry bout the pics ya'll I was gone for a week and a half and did not get round to it.
