Those with the ITP GNCC tires, tell me what you think about them. They look to be pretty good for trail riding, but can you slide with them? Let me know what you like and don't like.

I ran a set at a couple races last year, and really liked them. They hooked up good in the wet stuff. I was worried about them hooking up to good in the dry stuff, but I didn't have any problems.

They are the best tires, but your selling them?

I just bought a new set off ebay for $300, so I hope they turn out to be good tires. I ride a lot of different terrain, so I hope they hold up well.

I do not have the GNCC's personally but one of my riding buddies has them on his LTR. The tires are excellent in virtually all terrain conditions and slide predictably but are a slightly softer compound than the Kenda Klaws or Maxxis Razrs for example so they will wear quicker (especially if you ride a lot of hard-packed or rocky stuff like here in Arizona).

Took em out for a test ride for about an hour and they grab and slide really well. I couldn't be happier with their performance.

Do the front tires seem really thin at all?? my dad said the GNCC fronts are really thin compared to my mxr6's??? ...i'm still gettn them no matter what but i just wanna know LOL

They didn't stand out to me as being thin, they are the same width as the stock fronts and don't appear to be any thinner. From their appearance, I thought they might pull in the corners a little, but they don't pull at all, they are great.

i have read a lot of people not liking these tires. they said they hooked like crap. however, i have these tires and i really do like them. they hook way better than the kendas. it isn't even a comparison in my book. i don't have the fronts but the rears are a little thinner. this is what i wanted to save some extra weight though.

The GNCC Tire is an awesome tire Period. What Kendas where you running that you said did not compare?? It all depends on what tire.

Yeah, that all depends on the quad and the way you ride them. I had the HD's on my 400 and they just wouldn't slide for crap, they grabbed everywhere. But put them on a 450 and it is a completely new ball game. ;)

In the pics before if you notice the most outside row of knobs on the fronts are raised some. I have the 22" fronts and I only have 3 rows of knobs and the 4th most outside row is just smooth, the design is there but the knobs are not raised at all. I believe I would recommend the 21" fronts because of this. I can try and take a picture later if you want to see what I am talking about.

Yes if you can please post pics of this.....I was gunna go with the 22' for more ground clearance in trails, is it a big diffrence do you think??? maybe the itp mxr6 fronts with rear itp GNCC combo will be better than ???

Hmm....Wonder why it would be different on the 22's?

Some pics would be cool.

Yeah thats pretty much it. If you compare that with the pics on the first page you will notice that those have a 4th and even 5th row of knobs that stickout somewhat. Im still satisfied with mine but think the smaller ones look a little better with the extra knobs. Also my 22's were a little bigger than my stock 22's so 21's should be about the same size as stock.

What do you mean by Thinner???? What type of riding do you do? These are in the top 2 runnings of XC tires out....

I dont race anymore......I just have an 04 yfz set up for MX (longtravel & extended axel).....I'm just lookin for light tough tires....i'm wanting the full set of these, or the GNCC rear, and HD fronts....I ride trails, pitts, private tracks, n of course the backyard n some road!!

Dirtiredneck

Sounds good. I can tell you that they will withstand all of your trails and pit riding, I have not used them much on the MX track except when they are sectioned into some of the XC races. They are a very strong, light tire, with soft, but awesome traction.

ya you will like them. The only thing I might would have done different is to go with 21" fronts since they appear to have more knobs.

Great traction tire but comes with a price, they dont last long. They wear out quickly on rocky courses. My friend I ran three sets off them in 6 races, he kept complaining to ITP that they werent holding up and they would send him a new par. He finally went with razors 2 fronts and razor rear. On his 400ex

Dirtiredneck
01-31-2008, 11:46 AM
They are a softer tire, but that is why they grab everything you put in front of them. Razr 2's are awesome tires, but very bulky rears, fronts are awesome, very comparable to the GNCC's

Your buddy went through 3 sets of tires in 6 races WTF????? Thats rediculous, what deos he race on ROCK BEDS????

They will last way longer then that and still hook up great. I have a set of 20" rears I run when I go practice riding that I use to race on and they still hook up awesome and have tons of hours of XC on them!!!

when i was comparing the gncc's to kendas, i was referring to the kenda claws and knarlys. i ran both of these tires on a built 416ex and on my 450r. neither of these hooked near as well as the gncc's on hardpack. the gncc's did well in the snow too. when i meant thinner, the gncc's i have are 20x10x9. so, they are an inch approximately thinner than most all aftermarket tires. they still hook better than the kendas in every situation that i have been in with both bikes.
