gas tank stains?

I bought a neutral ims tank off ebay and it has like a stain on the top from gas or somethin, but ive tried alot off cleaners on it and nothing helped it, any ideas?

try a wheel cleaner, or if that doesnt work, i'd put "armor all" on it and it'll cover up the stain....

use a pressure washer it will take the grit out.

You can also try softscrub and a green brillo pad. I wet sanded an IMS tank I had on my Banshee and it brightned up by taking the stains out of the surface, just make sure you don't start with a really coarse grit if you go that route.

ive tried multiple cleaners and they never worked, i havent tried wheel cleaner yet and ive been hesitant with sanding, any tips on sanding it thanks.
