to clear coat, or not to clear coat

i just polished my dg grab bar and it looks sweet, the only prob is i have to polish it every few months cause it wears off, should i clear coat it or will that start to chip and look bad

id say put a few coats of clear coat on it.....it would last alot better and not get screwed up. btw what did you use to polish it because i want to start polishing some things on my quad.thanks

i used polish wheel at my dads jewelry store, but i dont know if i wanna clear coat it, cause i have bad experiences with spray paint clear coat chipping off

send it and get it powder coated with some clear coat. it will proll last 5 years as lond as u dont drag ur gbar on the ground

I polished my DG steel nerfs and then sprayed w/ 2 coats of clear and they look pretty good! IMO they look like the alloy nerfs now. :D
