Ok i want to bore about my quad with the FST 390 kit or atleast the 330 with all low end sh*t for racing. My problem is that the 4 stroke class is up to 440cc Do u think this is a waste of money or will this thing rip? some one with a big bore 300 answer this! Or should i sell it. I really like my quad and i'm good at racing, its my first year and i placed 2nd.

def DONT bore it to a 390 reliablity will suck! just bore it out to a 330 and DO IT RIGHT!! get all the cams, lifters, and springs that are made for the kit and a bigger carb will help alot too. 330's if they are built right can hang with piped 400's

bore it out, if ya get a new quad u get to get used to it and all that crap, racings mostly you anyway and if ur doin 2nd places with wat ya got ull be getting firsts with a bore job

well i guess i should go wit a 330. but the 4stroke c class will have honda 440s suzukis cannondales! if i make my quad pure torque-mid range will i be competative?

i still say go with the 330,ull do fine and it wont break down every race like it might with the 390

Bore it and stroke it to a 352. Powroll are selling this kit and they usually dont sell kits that are unreliable.

i say sell it and get a 400 with some mods then start hooking it up. i went from a 315ex to a 400ex and i dont think i could ever go back. just my .02

if u think about it it isnt really worth selling it i mean wit motor mods it will keep up wit modded ones and it handles better than one cuzi dont have stock suspention. if i was gunna get another quad it sure as **** wouldnt be a 400. with all the new quads out today it seems pointless. i'll just wait for hondas new beast and i'll keep this.

My 278x will hang with a piped 400ex even beat them. Ive hard rumors of some1 building a 440 kit for a 300ex/250x:eek: !! now that thing would RIP! just think a 440x out there....that would be crazy! If I were you and I had the mony i would slae the 300 motor you have now and call powrol and get a 350x conversion kit for it and put a 350x motor in it bored and stroked to 440 powrol sales everything you call em up and see what they can do for you! Just my 2 cents...

here is what i think you should do, i think you should sell the 300ex engine and buy a 350x engine. You can pick em up from east coast for bout 1,000 then sell the 300ex for say 800 with pipe and silencer. Go to powroll.com and get the 250x/350x conversion (the 250x and 300ex are the same frame) that runs ya about 550 with exaust i think. You will then have a engine that is extreamly reliable, yet can kick some 400 but! If you ever need more power you can always get either the powroll 393 or 430 kits, those will have more than enough power for ya!

u could do what kicken250x is talkin about, or u could part your bike out and sell it as mostly stock in the trader so u will get the money you want out of it, then you will have cash to buy whatever else u want, like a new z or the new honda if they ever get the balls to release it..........then u could build one of those up............ it's all up to u, but i think a light weight 300 with a modded 350x would rip, cuz the 350x is a 6 speed and the 300 frame is alot lighter than any 400 frame, that would prob be your best bet since you can menuiver easier with a lighter weight bike that is overpowered.....................so many options.................but what to do

A 350x motor has more potential than a 400ex.
Stock for stock a 350x is faster, so get a 350x motor and eventually mod it , it will kick some 400ex ***.
