Well isn't sweet tea suppose to be good for you? If your thinking mcdonalds sweet tea is good for you, think again. I was at work today (I work at mcd's, give me 35 hours a week in highschool).

Well for one batch of sweet tea, there's a total of 64 ounces of sugar. So, if you think drinking it will be better than pop, think again. I was amazed when my manager made the 1st batch, couldn't believe it, almost a full bag of sugar.

How big is the "batch" you are making? Thats alot of sugar for a pitcher of tea but dont sound to bad for a five gallon bucket.

ummm it is called "sweet" tea for a reason...it gets it's sweetness from added sugar...

Nah, i brought this up, cause if you look at brisk and stuff like that, i don't know how much sugars in it, but not much. The batch is like 2 1/2- 3 gallons.

Brisk isn't sweet tea. It's sweetened Ice Tea.

It is the same, but "sweet tea" has a LOT more sugar in it.

Sweetened Ice tea is usually brewed then some sweetener is added.

Sweet tea is brewed hot w/ sugar or corn syrup. It is generally saturated when hot and oversaturaded cold.

It's like the Kool-Aid version of tea. ;)

Sweet tea is not good for you. Heck most any "black tea" sweetened or not really isn't that good for you. Though it is much better for you than Soda, for sure.

FYI: I love sweet tea.. lol.

Care to elaborate?

I have heard if you drink lots it can give you kidney stones easier, but how is it worst than coffee or soday, any other cafeinated drink?

Do people really eat at McDonald's for "health" food anyways? I think sugar-filled sweet tea fits in with their menu perfectly...
