i have a new drx70 what ratio do i mix it......ran it 32/1 and fouling plugs......ihear race is 50/1 but my girl does not race.....i need to break it in....and want longetivivty from the motor

If it is brand new it will be oil injected. Look under the seat and you will see the cap for the 2 cycle oil. Use 2 cycle injector oil only!!

If you pre mixed gas and oil then poured in the "fuel" tank, you will have to drain the pre-mix from the tank and use straight gas.

With an oil injection you put gas in the fuel tank, oil in the oil tank. The gas and oil will combine in the carb.

i am not that much of a bone head my friend!!!!!!oil injection system has been removed!!!!!!(from the dealer it was shipped from)

42:1 is safe for all types of riding. Use a good quality oil like maxima 927

i run 40/1 seems to due pretty good all around but run 93 octane at least. i just pulled the motor apart after one season it still looked good & had good comp. still.

We use AMSOIL DOMINATOR @ 50:1. The 50:1 ratio is working well for us. Most synthetics are rated to this ratio at the most. some will tell you safe @ 100:1 but I'm not that brave. I always heard if you are using more than recommended by the oil manufacturer you will see carbon and oil rich related issues?

You will see no pwr loss at 42:1 and it will oil the parts better and the eng. last longer.
Also remember less oil runs the bike richer and more oil, oils the eng. better but leans out the eng. all our race motors run a long time at 42:1.Just need to find that sweet spot.

Everyone has there own brew when it comes to this subject :D

We run Maxima`Castor 927 at 40:1

The fouling of the plug could be the jetting in the carb or if the quad is brand new it did come with a heavy duty break oil in the injector bottle, so some of that may still be in the carb?

What is the jetting set at and which carb do you have?
