To the guys adding/dropping gradients onto the existing colors - instead of adding a gradient as a layer, when you highlight the area you want done, try adding a hue/saturation layer instead. It's much easier and smoother to change the entire color with this, and at the same time, it doesn't drop a color over whites/blacks. I've been experimenting with it a lot lately and if you get the hang of it, it begins to look much more realistic.

what i do is either select the vehicle using the magnetic lasso (depending on background), and i also brush. the blue truck that i posted earlier is a brush.

-red suzuki S on gas tank to blue
-remove little white/red sticker under the red S on gas tank

one with black rims & blue hubs
one with anodized blue rims & gold hubs
