J just got a LRD Pro4 exhaust system for my 2005 450r, It recommended a 182 main jet 50 pilot jet. And 2 turns out from closed on my air fuel mixture screw. And i have to run it without the airbox lid to run right. My grandpa said its bad that the header is blue he says it running way to hot? I just wanna know what you guys think.

no, its cool, the metal on aftermarket exhaust are really thin, and it will glow really bright orange at night, but its alright,

That Happens to YFZ450...With My Curtis Sparks Exhaust..Mine Doesn't Turn Blue, But It Turns Orange..I Think You Should Be Okay! But It Wont Hurt To Get That Checked Out.

Yup, my HMF head pipe did that on my 400ex. Some folks say it means your jetting is correct but I can't prove that.

there is a chemical on the exhaust idk what its called
but what happens is when it gets hot it turns the metal blue
thats how they make anodized exhausts

Are you the least bit familiar with the anodizing process? It involves chemical baths and electricity. The anodizing actually becomes a part of the metal and it will not change colors over time or due to heat.

ya blueing of your exhaust is normal mine did it and most pipes do i dont know exactly why it happens or how but its nothing to worry about the glowing orange is tho, but if it is just turning the metal a bluish color thats totaly normal... if anyone doughts tht its normal take a razor blade and heet the corner (on the sharp side) wit a lighter for a lil while and it will start to turn the bluish colr
