300EX is a great quad my favorite anyway, and if your not too much of a power junkie it should do you justice. With some mods it can be very competitive.

reverse isn't as big of an issue as people who have it think, trust me go with the 400ex you won't miss the reverse, and if you do........ learn to hop off and push :D the suspension and power will make up for the no reverse :devil..but the 300ex isn't bad

300ex is a great all around quad. that's why I like 'em so much. the reverse is handy for tril riding, it's amazing what you can get into back in the woods lol

Shameless Plug: I'm selling one in Maryland for $3200, great shape:D

well they're a good quad, and you can make em pretty fast. real good trail bike though. I use mine for drag racing.

They are decent bikes. If you are looking for a trail bike then youve found the right one.. But MX I would go with the 400ex.. you can get one for pretty cheap. I think it would be wise to get the 400.

is a 300 ex slower than a blaster ?

I can attest that they are faster than a blaster. Even more so in the woods because the blaster is so narrow and tipsy. As for havign good low end and no top end. With stock exhaust then really are a low-mid range bike. But the 4 valve motor is naturally a top end screamer. Pipe it and it will have good low end and pull hard all the way to the rev limiter, with the powerband more shifted more to the mid range and top end. A pipe really opens up the 300. A 4 valve motor breathes best at higher RPMs, but honda put such a restrictive pipe on it that it feels like low end is where all the power is. And that's just not the case. Mine hasn't been stock in a long time but i don't remember being dissapointed with the top end performance. But, then again, i didn't know what i was missing. Blaster will win top speed though, 6th gear kinda does that. But pipe it and jump up the gearing a notch and she will stomp blasters all day long, even top speed. Warriors are no contest, unless they got some work done on the inside.;)

i was riding my blaster down the rode w/ my buddy mark who had a 250 ex it was stock and we raced and he spanked the blaster are the faster than a 250ex?

a 250ex spanked a blaster? Must have been stock as all ****! lol, yeah they are much quicker than a 250ex. Plus the 250's auto tranny makes wheelies hard, and you can't change gearing with the shaft drive. A 300ex will keep the front end in the air for just as long as you can hold your thumb down. 250's a nice bike, my little cuz has got one. But it seems a little tipsy to me, and i always grab the parking brake every time i shift (duh:rolleyes: )

but most people will tell you that it is a tank. If the decision is between a 300ex and a warrior then for the love of god get the 300. The 300ex has way more mod potential. Good luck.

ok before i got my 300 i wanted a warrior. i thought they were so great then my dad bought one for himself. i rode it a really like it so i was going to get one. we looked and looked and all we could find was a 300. so i finally gave up and went with the 300. man i am glad i went with it. when i ride the warrior it just feels so big and bulky and heavy. it seems as if you never have control, but thats my opinion. now the 300 on the other hand is light and nimble and can easly but maneuverd with ease. you can move your feet on the pegs, for example, and move the rear end. now try and do that on a warrior and it will be worthless. i would go with the 300 also because it has newer technology. since the started making the warrior in 87 it hasn't really changed much except color, headlight positing, and a little on the chassis. the 300 would be the best bet, and of course its a honda.

I've ridden warriors before and every one i got on felt like it was falling apart underneath me. Plus they're slow, have bad frame geometry, ugly, slow, yamaha, and they're a tank. Did i mention slow?:D

A 300EX would be a great choice, even better would be a Z400 or Raptor if you want reverse, I have ridden one Raptor and loved it.
I still love my 300EX though, until I get on a dirtbike then get back on the 300 and go "wheres the power". But I get used to it.

ok heres the way i feel about this dont get mad at me the 300ex is a great bike if you only want a tight trail bike. The 300ex has reverse and alot les power and weighs 5 pounds more. The 400ex is alot more power full but no reverse. I was told befor i got my 300 that after a month I would get bored with it theres jsut not enough power. God i wish i wasnt arigant and listened to the guy who told me that. Cause about 1 month after i got it i realized that it ddint have to power to haul my fat a@@ around. I really wish I had saved for the rest of the summer and just bought the 400ex. Right now you might be looking at the two and see the reverse on the 300 and like it alot let me tell you Its not worth having the 300 just for the reverse cause you might I repeat might win in a tight trail if you have to use reverese. the eason I say this is that reverse is a pain to get into. Its not bad after you do it alot but it is jsut as fast to put it into neutral and jump off and push it back then hop on and take off. THe 400 is going to be alot better quad for just about anyone who is going to get into the sport aspect of quads. You might think that the 400 is going to be a little to much for you to handel now but its not as long as you respect the quad and now your limits you will be fine. You will grow into it and thank your self. I am shooting myself for my choose now because now i need to save for a truck and a 400ex
killer
Definitly get a 400ex
